JatApp developed a virtual private network (VPN) that flawlessly runs on the most popular platforms, operating systems, and browsers. We also built software for smart TVs and routers to let users privately browse the web and safely access any content.
Around 1.2 billion people (30% of internet users) use VPNs daily, while the global VPN market size is estimated at over $43 billion. What’s more, it’s expected to reach $76 billion by 2027.
Users all over the world seek secure ways to access information without limitations. By using VPN services, people can bypass restrictive internet policies, increase their online privacy, and protect personal data.
Our client is a telecommunications startup based in Panama. Seeing the rising market demand for reliable virtual private networks, they came up with an idea to create a VPN service that would help people safely surf the internet, bypassing geo-restrictions and hiding their online activities.
As our client’s goal was to provide users with a secure and private way to access any content via any device, we had to develop solutions for Android, iOS, Windows, Mac, Linux, apps for smart TVs and routers, as well as Chrome and Firefox extensions. Apart from creating a fully protected connection, JatApp had to make the app fast and user-friendly.
We also provided end-to-end marketing support to release the solution to the market. As a reliable marketing partner, JatApp helped the client promote the product and get the first users.
When we started the project, our team consisted of 5 developers. Today, a fully dedicated team of 30 JatApp specialists is supporting the system and updating servers.
To reach a maximum number of users, we developed the following applications:
To maintain absolute security and full privacy, our engineers employed several encryption standards, including Blowfish, 3DES, AES-128, IPSec, MPPE, Camellia, and AES-256. It allows for encrypting sensitive data and protecting it from hackers.
With the latest protocols implemented ‒ OpenVPN, IKEv2, Shadowsocks, and WireGuard, the developed solution creates a secure connection tunnel between a device and the internet. The software automatically defines the most suitable protocol for a device.
JatApp built a VPN service that enables to safely unblock content, and stream media at high speed while hiding users’ IP addresses and location. With one subscription plan, users can connect up to 10 devices. The virtual private network also offers the following features:
When using VPN software, DNS requests are sent via a private tunnel that reliably shields the user data. The service allows for anonymous and safe browsing without revealing a real IP address.
Following a strict no-log policy, the VPN service doesn’t monitor users’ online activities or collect any information. IP addresses, browsing history, personal data, and location are protected and can’t be stolen by hackers.
When the connection with the VPN server is lost, data becomes vulnerable and can be exposed to third parties. Thanks to the kill switch feature we implemented, all devices are automatically disconnected from the net once the VPN connection fails.
JatApp developed a virtual private network and configured more than 2500 servers in 50+ locations. Users can instantly switch between servers without compromising speed. We continue expanding the network and updating servers for stable and speedy performance.
Today, the VPN service we created has around 2 million users. It helps people protect their digital identity and safeguard their browsing experience.
