Worldwide
Full-time
Head of Analytics
We are JATAPP, a product IT company that builds products used by millions of users worldwide. Our portfolio already includes 20+ products across white niches such as Business, Utilities, Lifestyle, Cybersecurity, and Education, while we continue expanding into e-commerce and web. And there's much more ahead!
We are looking for a Head of Analytics to lead and scale our analytics practice: to shape our data strategy, generate insights for the company’s key decisions, and build a strong team of analysts.
This is an opportunity to take full responsibility for a practice that has long been in need of an update to its measurement and analytics strategy.
Key challenges:
Turn analytics from an 'operational support' to a 'product partner'
To overcome fragmentation in methodologies, processes, metrics names, and reporting
Create a culture of responsibility for data quality
Create a scalable analytical architecture for the rapid launch of new products
Ensure business transparency with limited analyst resources and high demand for analytics
Build trust between units, especially in terms of sharing analytical insights
Key responsibilities:
Data Infrastructure & Cloud Migration
Leading the implementation of a high-quality data architecture (BigQuery, Amplitude, ETL, Google Cloud)
Leading the analytical part of the migration from AWS to GCP (BigQuery, Composer, Pub/Sub)
Auditing current DAGs, events, and tables to determine the optimal migration order
Implementing naming conventions, table structures, access rules, and ETL pipelines
Building a system for verifying and updating events, metrics, and connectivity between sources (Amplitude, payments, finance)
Ensuring the unification of events, net revenue, conversions, and other key indicators across units
Collaborating with the data engineer on data maps, sandboxes, predictions, and shared schemas
Data Governance & Access
Defining data access policies: role models, unit-level restrictions, and sharing controls
Creating documentation on data protection rules for analysts, managers, and external partners
Analytics as a Service for Product Teams
Supporting 6 product units through effective management of 5+ Product Analysts
Standardizing A/B testing flows, analysis templates, and data collection approaches
Building a BP & CAC reporting system with automation to minimize manual work
Developing approaches to LTV forecasting and building strategic financial analytics
Decision-Making Methodology
Implementing a single metrics library and glossary of interpretations
Running regular analytical reviews with product and functional department heads
Creating report templates and recommendation frameworks for PMs/PMMs
Team Management
Implementing people-management practices: one-on-ones, performance reviews, and analyst development
Developing product thinking within the team — moving beyond "just building reports" to proposing actions
Planning the team's workload, prioritizing tasks, and involving analysts in R&D initiatives
What you’ll need:
Experience with mobile product analytics (marketing, product optimization)
Successful experience in building and scaling analytical processes
Skills in developing, validating A/B test results, and providing recommendations for optimization
Experience in analyzing user behavior, segmenting and clustering audiences to identify behavioral patterns and improve UX
Work with advertising, transactional, and subscription monetization models
Understanding of key metrics (CAC, LTV, ROMI, ARPU), experience in optimizing advertising activity, and cohort analysis
You need to know such tools:
SQL: deep knowledge of working with databases and query optimization
DWH: experience with AWS (Redshift) or GCP
BI tools: high level of proficiency in Tableau to create interactive dashboards and data visualization
Marketing tools: working with AppsFlyer
Product platforms: using Amplitude to analyze behavioral data
Monitoring: experience with New Relic and Grafana for system monitoring
