Mobile Tech Lead

We're scaling functional management of mobile development at the company level — and we're looking for a Mobile Tech Lead to lead this direction: developing iOS engineers across several product teams, driving technical expertise, and shaping cross-team impact without being tied to a single team.

Impact on the mobile direction of the company: you'll work with several product teams and influence technical standards and approaches to mobile development across JATAPP
Growing a strong engineering team: goal-setting, performance, technical growth, and level transitions for iOS engineers
Flexible format: hands-on development takes up roughly 10-20% of your time, mostly on complex technical cases requiring extra expertise, with no micromanagement from C-level
Broad scope of interaction: you'll work with Team Leads, engineers, Product, Project, and Engineering teams
Key responsibilities:
Functional management and development of iOS engineers: goal-setting, performance evaluation, promotions, motivation
Growing iOS expertise at the company level, introducing shared technical standards across units
Advising teams on complex iOS decisions, participating in technical design
Point-in-time expert involvement in complex or critical situations
Aligning approaches and sharing expertise across teams
What we expect from you:
Strong hands-on experience in iOS development (Swift, SwiftUI), 5+ years
Experience as a Tech Lead / Team Lead / Engineering Manager or in a similar role
People/engineering management experience: developing engineers, goal-setting, performance work, mentoring
Experience working with multiple teams or products and a wide range of stakeholders
Cross-team influence and driving change beyond a single team
Strong communication skills, able to make a reasoned case to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Enough seniority to work effectively with strong Senior iOS Engineers
Nice to have:
Understanding of Android at a technical leadership level (deep hands-on expertise not required)
Practical experience using AI tools in your work
Experience at outsourcing/outstaffing companies, provided the scope of responsibility matches
Master's degree in Computer Science
