Automation QA Engineer
We are an IT company, JATAPP, creating products that are used by millions of users from all over the world. Our portfolio already includes 20+ different products exclusively in white niches: Business, Utilities, Lifestyle, Cybersecurity, and Education.
We are looking for an Automation QA Engineer to help build and advance test automation for the company’s platform solutions. This role has a strong engineering focus: you will not only write automated tests but also influence quality assurance approaches, work with different types of systems, and help teams ensure product stability.
Your responsibilities will be:
Automate API tests for REST services and integrations
Cover regression for platform features (integrations, payments, backend flows)
Develop and maintain UI E2E automated tests (Playwright, TS/JS)
Analyze requirements, decompose scenarios, and define test conditions
Verify client-server interactions (HTTP, headers, status codes)
Use Browser DevTools to debug network requests
Write test cases, checklists, and test documentation
Maintain and optimize the automation suite
Participate in refinement, planning, and discussions of technical/architectural decisions
What you’ll need:
1+ year of experience in automation testing (including backend automation)
Hands-on experience with Playwright or similar frameworks:
working with locators

basic Page Object Model
fixtures and test structure
Basic knowledge of JavaScript or TypeScript
Experience testing REST APIs (Postman or similar tools)
Understanding of HTTP: methods, headers, cookies, caching, status codes
Experience working with JSON / XML
Understanding of error handling
Experience with Jira and Confluence
Basic Git knowledge (branching, pull requests)
Understanding of SDLC, STLC, and Agile/Scrum
Experience writing:
Test Cases
Checklists (BVA, EP, State Transition)
Practical experience using Browser DevTools (Network, Console, debugging requests)
Will be a plus:
Experience with various types of systems (web, backend, integrations)
Experience building automation from scratch or optimizing existing solutions
Understanding of CI/CD processes
Role Highlights:
This is not a “classic” AQA role limited to a single product
You will work with different services, tools, and teams
Many tasks require an engineering approach and independent decision-making
Automation here is not just about tests—it’s about building quality into the system
Recruitment Process:
HR Interview — Technical interview — Final interview — Reference Check — Offer
